I believe this is because every believer has been given one or more spiritual gifts. The Holy Spirit will determine how each individual believer will use that (or those) gifts to affect a situation in order to further the Kingdom of God. So even though many individual believers may pray to the same God about one particular situation, the Holy Spirit will prompt different answers (or actions, or responses) based on individual abilities (i.e. gifts, talents, spiritual discernment or understanding, etc.) to respond to said situation. Use the things that will create unity, and beware of the things that could divide.

ReplyDeleteMy answer isn't nearly as theologically correct as Jay P.'s. I'm much more cynical. But here it is anyway... Somebody just isn't listening. LOL
ReplyDeleteYeah, I wrote this question out of cynicism, so I guess I was just expecting a cynical answer. But Jay P. had a good response.
